Building trust in a therapeutic relationship includes being vulnerable and allowing people into spaces that you might hide away from the rest of the world. It can be hard to believe that someone has no agenda other than to see you—all of you, without judgement. So let me disclose just a few things about myself to get to know one another!

I grew up as an Air Force brat & have been an Air Force spouse for 17 years. During those years, I have been exposed to many cultures, experiences and adventures! I’ve been through deployments, TDYs, solo parenting…the list could go on!

I attended undergraduate and graduate school at Liberty University. I have two Master’s degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy. During my undergrad training, I was involved in private practice therapy in the state of Florida. In my graduate practicum, I worked long side a therapy wellbeing center in Bury St. Edmunds gaining valuable insight and hours. I have well over a thousand hours of experience with a focus on military life stressors—although I have plenty of experience in fields outside of those parameters!

I have 5+ years of experience, including being a part of a Presidentially recognized program where my team and I provided in-unit wellbeing and resources to squadrons. I was fortunate to be able to complete my education with phenomenal training and opportunities in the United Kingdom, even working as a therapist along side a center in Bury St Edmunds. With experience of in-person sessions and (our pandemic given) opportunities of online services experiences, I am happy to offer either option for sessions as availability permits.

My husband is active duty military and we’ve spent 8 years (12 years for myself!) in the United Kingdom. I really value mental health and the lack of resources in the TriBase area frustrated me especially when it affected us personally. I am so happy to now be able to provide an outside source and service to the area not only to benefit people, but our military community. Resiliency isn’t strength if you’re using it every day—that’s called survival.

I’m happy to have you here, even if it’s just for a drop-by perusal of the website! Below are a few areas that I have experience working with in the past with clients:

  • anxiety

  • depression

  • panic

  • stress

  • ptsd

  • couples therapy

  • ADHD

  • CBT therapies

  • childhood trauma

  • betrayal

  • intimacy related issues

  • grief

A reminder that this list is not exhaustive, but it IS important to seek a therapist who is a good fit and has the abilities to meet your needs. Something that you’ll hear often from me is “Therapists are like any medical practitioners—you need to find one that you like and that suits your needs!”. Feel free to send me an email through our “Contact us” form to ask more questions and see if we could start our therapeutic journey today!

I am an accredited member of the National Counseling and Psychotherapy Society.
